Lauren Ashley Smith
Lauren Ashley Smith is a seasoned real estate and finance executive with over 20 years of experience spanning commercial real estate, strategic advisory, and renewable energy. As Managing Partner at Feldsmith Capital, she invests in and advises early-stage companies operating at the intersection of technology, mobility, logistics, commerce, and real estate.
Lauren collaborates closely with founders and operators to refine business models, structure growth capital, and prepare for institutional investment. Her diverse portfolio includes ventures in real estate development, proptech, renewable energy, and social-impact. She also leads general partner formation and strategic growth planning for various platforms.
In addition to her role at Feldsmith Capital, Lauren serves on the Boards of TVCE Energy, a firm focused on developing renewable energy power plants in Eastern Europe; Method Development, a Detroit-based real estate developer advancing inclusive urban regeneration; and Generation Brain, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting brain health and neuroscience literacy.
Previously, Lauren was a Director and founding member of a boutique New York investment bank, where she led global transactions, including representing GE Capital Real Estate in its $30B sale of over 5,000 assets to Blackstone and Wells Fargo—one of the largest real estate deals in history. She has advised REITs, private equity firms, asset managers, and developers on capital strategy, joint ventures, and acquisitions.
