Lauren Ashley Smith
Lauren Ashley Smith is a seasoned real estate professional with nearly 20 years experience in commercial real estate transactions, including investment banking, M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory. As a Director and founding member of a boutique NYC-based investment bank, Lauren played a crucial role in the third largest real estate transaction in global history, representing GE Capital Real Estate in the $30B sale of over 5,000 global assets to Blackstone and Wells Fargo.
In the renewable energy sector, Lauren has structured joint ventures and capital-raised for solar development lending businesses. She has also provided M&A advisory for real estate private equity funds, managers, operators, and developers, and strategic advisory for asset managers, REITs and institutional investors as well as real estate services and tech companies.
Additionally, Lauren has over a decade of experience advising clients on real estate leasing, acquisition and sales at CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield, where she worked on numerous transactions across North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
Lauren serves on the Board of Directors for TVCE Energy, a firm focused on developing solar and other renewable energy power plants in Eastern Europe.
